Last Updated: March 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ft2calc collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit https://squarefootagecalculator.cc, including the calculators, guides, and support pages available on the Site.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Service.

1. Introduction

Welcome to ft2calc ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being clear about the limited information that may be collected when you use our website and tools.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website at https://squarefootagecalculator.cc (the "Site"), including any calculators, articles, or support pages available on the Site.

Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Site.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you:

  • - Contact us by email or use the contact page draft helper on this Site.
  • - Submit feedback, corrections, or suggestions about our tools or content.

This information may include your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We do not require account registration to use any tool on this Site.

On the current static version of the Site, the contact form does not submit data to a server. It prepares a prefilled email draft in your own email app. Information entered into the form stays on your device unless you choose to send that email.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • - IP address
  • - Browser type and version
  • - Operating system
  • - Referring URLs
  • - Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • - Date and time of your visit

This information may be collected through standard server logs, cookies, and third-party analytics or advertising technologies described below.

2.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience on the Site. Cookies are small data files stored on your device.

We use or may use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the Site to function properly, keep pages secure, and support basic navigation.
  • Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Site and which pages or tools are most useful.
  • Advertising Cookies: Used by third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense to serve and measure relevant ads.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect certain Site features or measurement of performance and advertising activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • - Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its calculators, guides, and support pages.
  • - Respond to your inquiries, correction requests, and support messages.
  • - Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience and content quality.
  • - Display or prepare to display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense.
  • - Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations.
  • - Detect, investigate, and help prevent fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google LLC. When AdSense is active, Google and its partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this Site and other sites on the Internet. The core disclosures below apply to any pages where AdSense is enabled.

  • - Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve interest-based ads.
  • - Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies based on a user's prior visits.
  • - Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
  • - Users may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For more information about how Google uses data when you use sites or apps that rely on Google services, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, now or in the future to better understand how visitors use the Site. If enabled, Google Analytics may collect information such as how often users visit the Site, which pages they visit, and what sites they used before arriving.

We would use this information to improve our calculators, guides, and general site experience. Google Analytics typically collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Site rather than your name or other directly identifying information, and we do not seek to combine analytics data with information that directly identifies you.

You can limit or prevent Google Analytics recognition on return visits by disabling cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google Analytics is not currently configured in this codebase, and this policy will be updated if our implementation details change.

6. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or resources. These links are provided for convenience only.

We do not control the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Information sent to us by email, including messages you choose to send after using the contact page draft helper, is generally retained for up to 12 months so we can respond to the request, maintain support records, and review recurring issues before secure deletion.

Information typed into the contact form but not sent through your email app is not retained by the Site because the current static implementation does not submit those fields to a server.

Google Analytics retention settings are not currently active in this project because Google Analytics is not currently configured. If Google Analytics is enabled later, we will configure an explicit retention period and update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
